A great event! Thanks and congratulations are due to everyone who organised the Festival and all members, partners and friends who helped over the two days. Special thanks are due to the Dyer family – Paul for overall organisation, Harry for selecting and writing tasting notes for all the ales, Yvonne for running the very successful gin stall and Marion who together with family and friends served all the beer. They must all have lost weight over the two days as they were running back and forth non stop with foaming pints of ale. Thanks also to Robin and the Wealden Cave and Mine Society for allowing us to use the caves which are so much a part of the event.
This is a fantastic event firmly established in the Reigate calendar. Covering all the costs by the generous sponsorship of local businesses means that every drop of beer supped means money going to deserving local causes. We thank all our 50+ sponsors without whom this event could not take place. One of our major sponsors Chris Warner of Cranbourne Financial worked at the Festival for the 21 hours it was open! That’s dedication for you!
Where else could you find around 200 people drinking copious amounts of alcohol in a confined space without a hint of any aggression or trouble – just happy people meeting friends and enjoying themselves in an iconic location.
Attendance this year was up by around 20% and our net income also considerably up. Here’s to next year and enjoy the gallery of pictures
